The Alpe di Siusi varied scenic landscape is also a paradise for mountain bike lovers: Alpine touring aficionados will enjoy a wide variety of ambiences ranging from luxuriant meadows and shady forest paths to demanding high-altitude trails.

The bicycle is the most widely cherished, easy to use and ecological means of transport and the best way to move freely and quickly around nature: but never too fast that you canít admire all the scenic beauty. The Alpina Dolomites provides guests with name-brand mountain bikes in perfect condition for first-class pedalling!

South-eastern itinerary of the Alpe di Siusi - Seiser Alm

  • Level: easy
  • Elevation change: about 350m
  • Overall total: about 15 km
  • Total time necessary: about 2 hours
  • Starting from Alpina Dolomites – Baita Laurin – toward the Sciliar massif (wonderful view) – passing by the Baita Rosa Alpina and continuing toward Baita Mahlknecht (with a view of the Molignon) – descent to Saltria – along the paved road that passes by the Albergo Gasthof Ritsch  –  Compatsch – Alpina Dolomites

Donít miss: The trio of knödel (bread dumplings), a specialty of the Baita Rosa Alpina

Itinerary around the Alpe di Siusi - Seiser Alm and the Val Gardena

  • Level: mid-range
  • Elevation change: about 800m
  • Overall total: about 28 km
  • Total time necessary: 3.5 hours
  • Starting from Alpina Dolomites – heading toward Saltria – passing alongside Malga Zemmer – an easy descent along the serene Valle Jender all the way to the Val Gardena – continue along the path of the old railway, all the way to Selva (potential detour in Vallunga) – from Selva to Saltria running alongside the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto groups (path 30B) and along the paved road until the Alpina Dolomites.

Itinerary around the Alpe di Siusi - Seiser Alm

  • Difficult
  • Elevation change: about 1,400m
  • Overall total: about 34 km
  • Total time necessary: 4.5 hours
  • Starting from the Alpina Dolomites – along path no. 11 toward the Sciliar massif  –  crossing meadows all the way to Punta d’Oro - Goldknopf  – then all the way to the Baita Mahlknecht – a steep climb (quite challenging!) to the Dialer church – along single trail no. 7 all the way to the Rifugio Zallinger  – along  path no. 531 via large meadows (a wonderful view of Sassolungo and Sassopiatto) – descent to Saltria – following the road all the way to the Albergo Ritsch – then turn right headed toward the Baita Sanon – then all the way to Malga Schaguler and along the paved road to the Hotel Icaro – then an easy ride to Malga Ritsch and for 1 km back to Alpina Dolomites
